Measurements of the PIN diode arrays show a responsivity greater than 0.5 A/W and rise/fall times less than 1ns. A short report is available here.
DC measurements of the MITEL VCSEL array have been performed. AC measurements of the MITEL VCSEL array were carried out by driving a VCSEL channel with the VDC chip. The results show rise and fall times of about 1ns which is limitted by the VDC chip and the measurent apparatus itself. Scope pictures of the optical output are available for a clock frequency of 40 MHz, 80 MHz and 120 MHz. Note that the spikes visible are reflections due to the long lead length between the VDC and the VCSEL and would not be present in a more optimal packaging.
