DELPHI-DPHEP DELPHI data access

General information

DELPHI data is stored both on CTA (2 copies) on tape and on EOS. Access to the copy on CTA is restricted as it only serves as a backup, and is not meant to be used by users directly. DELPHI tools like fatfind take care of this automatically. delstage is no longer needed, as no staging of data is required.

The location of the data is controlled by the environment variable DELPHI_DATA_ROOT. If you have a local copy of the data (e.g. at a participating external site), just point it to the top directory of where it is located locally, and things should work.

Data samples

All the data has been moved to EOS. This implies that there is no need to stagein any tapes any longer, the data is immediately accessible. The only condition is that /eos/experiment/delphi is mounted on the local machine, and that the user possesses a valid kerberos ticket for a DELPHI account.

Data samples can be accessed as in the old days via PDL files. Both fatmen identifiers and direct files can be used. Tapes cannot be accessed directly any longer.

Fatmen identifiers can be resolved using the fatfind command line tool. Please check this page for a list of available data sets.
