History of DELANA and DSTANA reprocessings
History of DELANA and DSTANA reprocessings
1998
98D
See the DELANA processing
history page.
D1
First DSTANA reprocessing:
- the track fit has been updated using the DELANA one (see the release
notes for further details); the refit of
electrons inside ELEPHANT is now performed correctly.
- HPC noise suppression for 98D.
- correction to gamma conversion reconstruction: Veto V0 candidates
from Delana and tagged muons; both tracks from conversion should have
no hit before vertex, excluding ID strawtubes.
- EMF corrections for noisy channels.
- HAC final energy fixing based on 98C.
- updated HACCOR to match the new HADANA using the
cathode readout at DELANA level.
- the refit of tracks taking part into a V0 in which the vertex lies
after the first measured point has been temporarily suppressed because
of an incompatibility with the new track fit software. This affects
only a minor fraction the V0 decaying after the VD.
D2
Tuned reprocessing for physics analysis:
- HPC: fixes to energy and Z corrections; updates to noise
suppression. New refitting of shower axis.
- RICH alignment.
- maximum number of possible V0 candidates increased from 50 to 100.
98C
Full reprocessing with first complete alignment; correction
of TPC distortions; first HPC calibration.
C1
First approximation of DSTANA.
C2
DSTANA with tuned ELEPHANT, RICH, HCAL. Should match
the 98A1 Monte Carlo.
98A1 (Monte Carlo)
Corresponds to the 98C processing (best match
with the 98C2).
1997
97E
First full reprocessing with the NFT version
of the tracking code, using the VFT points in the tracks. Other
improvements wrt 97D:
- full VFT internal alignment
- modification of the fitting to use single point TER from VFT
- modification of the VFT DST structure
- module by module calibration of the HPC energy using the Kr
- FCA internal calibration for 97
- modification of the ID fix to correct one bad sector
- determination of scaling factors for detector error matrices
E2
First DSTANA version tuned for analysis:
- Tuned ELEPHANT (leakage corrections)
- Tuned RICH
Known bugs:
- No SMC in muon identification
- Offset of 3% in electron energies, 10% in photon energy
- Top-bottom effects in refractive index for RICH
- 97E2 was thought to correspond to the 97E2 Monte Carlo, but this
last was affected by a wrong efficiency table for the VD,
causing a bad modelling of the efficiency for tracks with
hits in all 3 layers.
E3
Fixed problems in calorimetry, muon ID, RICH
(corresponds to the 97F3 Monte Carlo, in which the problem
in the efficiency tables for VD has been fixed).
New Hadron Calorimeter code.
97F (Montecarlo only)
Corrected efficiency table in VD simulation.
No changes for real data.
F3
No changes in DSTANA w.r.t. 97E3.
97X (Real Data only)
Test reprocessing with event streams selected
to test the proposed 1998 data flow. Some databases changes with respect to 97E
DELANA.
X1
DSTANA corresponding to 97E3 + update for the proposed 1998 data
flow scheme.
