Faculty Position in Experimental High Energy Physics

The Department of Physics at the Unversity of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for an assistant professor position in experimental high-energy physics. The UCSB HEP program is forming a new group to work on hadron-collider physics (CDF and CMS), and it has existing groups working on heavy-quark physics (BaBar and CLEO) and dark-matter searches (CDMS II). The faculty in the group are Claudio Campagnari, Joseph Incandela, Harry Nelson, and Jeffrey Richman. We seek candidates with outstanding ability in both instrumentation and data analysis. The UCSB HEP group has excellent technical resources and staff, as well as a long history of major detector construction projects and analysis results.Information about our program is available at http://hep.ucsb.edu. Candidates for the position should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physics, an outstanding record of scholarship, and should be committed to excellence in teaching. Candidates should submit a statement of current research interests and pursuits, a curriculum vitae, and a list of publications and should arrange for at least three letters of recommendation to be sent to:
