The Serial HIPPI implementers group made a specification for Serial HIPPI that overcomes the length limit of 25 m as specified in HIPPI-PH.
This specification provides the physical, optical, electrical and logical specifications of a serial HIPPI extender for the parallel HIPPI-PH standard.
