The TOSCA test beam set-up

The basic test beam set-up will include an emulsion target placed in the field of a dipolar magnet (0.5-0.7 T), planes of silicon strips to predict the track position into the emulsion sheets, an emulsion tracker box to be used as high resolution tracking device for momentum measurement, and planes of additional trackers (honeycomb tracker and MWPCs) for pattern recognition. Sets of beam defining counters and wire chambers will complete the experimental set-up.

Moreover, a second set-up with some modifications to the basic set-up will be tested. It will contain two emulsion sheets placed directly upstream and downstream of the honeycomb tracker and MICROMEGAS instead of the emulsion tracker box.
