Correlations between protons have been studied in approximately 4.3 million hadronic Z decays recorded with the OPAL detector at LEP between 1990-1995. Protons were identified in the central tracking chamber using their specific energy loss in the drift chamber gas. The correlations were studied as a function of Q, the 4-momentum difference of the pair. We searched for a deficiency of pairs at low Q, which could be attributed to Fermi-Dirac statistics. To study whether such a deficiency is due to the identical nature of the particles, we also studied correlations between protons and Lambda baryons in the same event.
