We search for Radions, new scalar resonances predicted in the framework of the Randall-Sundrum model. The radion couples to fermions and bosons in a way similar to the Higgs boson. But unlike the Higgs boson, it directly couples to gluon pairs. Since the radion and the Higgs boson carry the same quantum numbers, they can mix. The resulting mass eigenstates may have properties different from the SM Higgs boson. Results from searches for the SM Higgs boson and flavour-independent Higgs searches using data recorded with the OPAL detector are used to restrict the parameter space of the Randall-Sundrum model.
