We present an update of OPAL measurements of the strong coupling strength, 
$\alpha_{\mathrm s}$, based on event shape observables.  
The existing data from centre-of-mass
energies between 91~GeV and 209~GeV are reanalysed using a consistent set 
of theoretical calculations.
