pi0, eta, K0 and charged particle multiplicities in quark and gluon jets We compared the multiplicities of charged particles, pi0, eta and K0 in quark and gluon jets. The comparisons were performed for distributions unfolded to 100% pure gluon and quark jets, at an effective scale which accounts for topological dependence of the three-jet environment. The ratio of particle multiplicity in gluon jets to quark jets was found to be independent of particle species, consistent with the QCD prediction. In particular, we do not observe an enhancement in the eta production rate in gluon jets beyond that found for the other types of particles. Parallel session :3 Plenary session :11
