slide 10,11: for the approval it would be better to replace the filled black points in slide 10 with the updated result. We discussed that in slide 10 the b-jet-only and c-jet-only response matrices are extreme cases but useful ones. However, we suggested that the reference case should be one in which the response matrix of b-jets and c-jets should be combined using weights based on a realistic cocktail of b-jets and c-jets, e.g. using POWHEG+PYTHIA relative abundances or considerations based on charm and beauty measurements. To be further discussed offline.

  • build response matrix by using b-jet and c-jet ratio and pT shape go HFe jet in POWHEG+PYTHIA
    • generate b-jet response matrix and c-jet response matrix using the MC (based on PYTHIA)
    • re-weighted prior in the b-jet and c-jet response matrix to match b-jet and c-jet in POWHEG
    • combined the two response matrix after re-weigting the prior
