Introduction

  • Data is saved on the external hard drive of the DAQ PC (TODO: Copy to UniGe cluster/EOS)

Warning, important Safety

EMERGENCY NUMBER: 74444

The whole hall is declared as supervised area so a Dosimeter is mandatory. You also need personal protective equipment to work there, these are a helmet and safety shoes. Please keep in mind that there are two cranes and a number of smaller vehicles operating constantly and carrying concrete blocks and other heavy equipment around.

Useful Information

  • DAQ PC: pcatlasunigehvcmos1.cern.ch
There is an ssh and vnc server running on this machine.
  • Run Spreadsheet can be found here
  • The elog is on pcatliblupg04.
If you want to access it from outside the CERN network use ssh to tunnel through lxplus ssh -NL 10000:pcatliblupg04:8080 USERNAME@lxplusNOSPAMPLEASE.cern.ch Then you can open it with your browser at http://localhost:10000

Instructions on how to run the telescope

Some hopefully practical information can be found in the following files. They are actually for testbeams at PS T9, but the DCS and DAQ sections are still valid. An update will follow. Feel free to add or correct them and upload new versions.
