Many congratulations to our senior LPC distinguished researcher, Roberto Rossin. Congratulations to Paul Lujan as well, who has been selected as CERN associate ("similfellow") from 01/01/18 to 31/12/18 Several persons have been nominated to replace Roberto Tenchini as national representative of CMS. Four have accepted the nomination: Bilei, Ciulli, Della Valle, Lista.

Framework & production

• Federica tried to put in place some script to process nanoAOD (produce them). Collaboration with Ugo and Marco. Running over lsf.
• strategy to access input data: to use xrootd (no private copy of dataset)

• AN frozen last Friday with SM and BSM results. Convenors should tell how to proceed.
• the closure test on the bgk bias extraction for the BSM shows a not perfect agreement between data and bkg in CR after the bias correction. This is different from SM. Investigating for possible bug or weakness of the procedure.

Same sign dileptons

• 2016 data analysis finalyzed. final version of the AN delivered 3 days ago with answers to convenors' questions.
• attempt to look quickly at 2017 data by using nanoAOD format (advantage is that all ingredients are in).

• (Pablo) presented at recoAnalysisTool meeting on Friday. Found out how to reduce memory consumption. Merge this week. milestone 10_0_X (back-ported to 9_5_X).
