SY: last week I was at CERN following a workshop, and discussed with colleagues about the pespecives. Some issue to take care of: overlap btw the control regions and signal regions. Also the selection is not fully up to date. Need to match Ugo's selections. Still discussing with Alberto. HWW want to nominate SY for pittsburgh conference.

Same sign dileptons

We are in the pocess of undrstanding the Wgamma background that we were missing. Also, the sensitivity to the rare higgs channels is probably larger than we thought. That could explain some part of the excess that we were obsrving. ttH with H->tau.

Working on the simulation w/ Carlo and Francesca and Sergio Fabrizio: working w/ the chemistry dept. Testing a small device that is absorbing compounds.

Timing Layer

Several discussions gong on. In our Mechanic design group there is the possibility that Massimo can leave to go to Legnaro. Massimo is complaining that he has been left alone. this is quite true because the work in very technical. Umberto is happy to help once he is back from Geneva. There has been a development in the electronics with consequences in the mechanics. A new sketch of the design has been proposed, maybe padova can take charge of making this sketch into a fully engineered design and possibly prototypes to study. We received the chlller. PD received money for a post-doc engineer. This should start after july 1st. Maybe September.
