News:

LHC delivered pilot collisions. CMS worked flawlessly. The mixed shifters (part of the crew in the CR and part via Zoom). GPU @ HLT was running. another ULO (unidentified lying object) in the beam pipe. probably a little bit of plastic. Ramp w/ beams up to 3.5TeV. Now the machine is back to magnet training to 6.8TeV. Atlas ready for new small wheel C Rumour mills started. Markus Klute nominated but will not accept (he has to ramp up the group). Patty getting quite some support from inside and outside US.

Rocco: expert helping with the Madgraph bug. If no clean solution will remove the cuts and just produce a large sample (expected to have a factor 3 more).

Higgs

resolved team unblinded the data after finding a bug in the fit. VBF trigger. Running nanoAOD.

Tests at P5: checking that the fibers are properly connected since no meaningful words can be readout from the cables. No problem on the filbres.

Timing Layer

Worked on the new cold plates. Cooling pipes brazed. Now they have to be x-rayed and pressure tested. New copper housing need to be bought. PD will pay the material (~1-2K) Pat: collecting info. For the FCC there is more work for the s-tagger.

DT

Implementation of the master is not fully I^2C(multimaster/multislave bus) compatible for the lpGBT.
