News:

+ Roberto R. contacted Dario to start the procedure for the election of the next PI.

+ Please remember to submit your pledges for 2021.

+ Enrico produced some distributions om 900 GeV data collected during the test beam using the machinery defined by Paolo R. Plots will be shown tomorrow during the LHCC meeting: Ks, Lambda distributions, beamspot, alignment and tracker infos. Beamline shows suboptimal position in x, a structure is present in phi in the hit multiplicity distribution.

+ First workshop CMS/Italia in Padova 21-25 Feb. Focus will be the definition of the future analysis strategy, summary of requirements developed in the last 15 years and technologies developed by the INFN.

+ CMS Italia will organise hackatons to involve more people in POG/DPG important tasks.

Framework & production

+Federica: No news. If someone has doubts about the cloud ask me. CMS/Italia Workshop will include the discussion of infrastructure for future analyses.

Analysis

B physics

+Two meetings last week: with Sofia group and Padova group. Good results from Sofia on MC closure test. Enrico showed results on the tagging calibration. Additional studies to be performed on Bs*.

Heavy composite neutrinos

+Pat: sent message to ARC requiring a meeting. New note ready since last week. Answers to questions available on Twiki. One important question about SS approach for low mass ( safe for high mass).

VBS

+Pat: problem is moving to ultra legacy: it will delay the process and it's a pity since the analysis is quite advanced.

H/Z->JPsi gamma

+Pierluigi: Analysis preapproved two days ago, review with ARC just started. Date for the first meeting to be defined.

Timing Layer

+Roberto: Another student from Engineers, Simone, will worki with Edoardo on the cooling and radiation tolerance. A second student will follow the prototype in Padova working with Roberto.

DT

+Fabrizio: the loss apparently is 40%, not 70%. The idea is to go on with the test of the new wires to see if the behaviour will be good as in the test two years ago, but the conditions are different. We have some difficulties in comparing the measurements performed two years ago with the new ones. Several other chambers in front of ours. Test beam conditions are also rapidly changing.

Tracker/tracking

+Mia: Paper TRK-20-001 about tracker alignment will be submitted to the journal today.
