Timing Layer:

+Michele working with Bettoni and Rossin is testing the thermal pastes on the cooling plate, improving the thermal conductivity. It seems that new paste does improve the situation a little but it's tricky to manipulate. 3x4 modules to check of the connectors and boards. And instrumenting half of these boards with the sensors now (copper housing brought from Milan). Final measurement of the dissipation and thermal behaviour.

UPGRADE Workshop Summary:

+in zoom. Goal is to build the next generation and passing the knowledge from Phase1 to Phase2. Plans to handle the change in the next 10-15 years. There will be another similar meeting in the next month hopefully in person. Need to discuss with INFN money to have positions for staff etc. so it needs to be rediscussed and anticipate the needs. On the technical side: the problem is the schedule that has 2 years of delay. it comes from COVID but not only. LS3 shift helped, but this is the last shift we can hope on. Any other delay will just be a longer shutdown.

+One strategy to involve more young people in the demonstrators. That will start taking data together with CMS. And give young people responsabilities on that.
