* Urgent --- There is currently an issue with the CERN orders account. For some unknown reason, Franco S. (and not Roberto) is still the responsible for the CMSPD orders, while at the same time he is currently not able to authorize orders from CERN.

* Working on the new OpenStack update for the cloud

* Mia asked about installing CMSSW on the GPU-machines. The cluster is associated by Marco Z, so going to send an email to Fede + Marco

B physics

* Alessio gave a talk on the BPH analyses at Moriond (including the new tau->3m, just released the day before his presentation)

* Also from Moriond: First CPV observation in Charm by LHCb, and new BsJPsiPhi result by ATLAS (w/ 16+17 dataset)

Dibosons, VZ resonance (V=W,Z)

Heavy New Physics

* All the new MC for extended signal has been submitted

* Matteo is completing the tests ongoing with combine about the new analysis strategy (extending from high- to mid/low-mass regions), also due to the new pheno developements

* New pheno paper written by Matteo + Panella (theorist in PG) including unitarity conditions, and extending the mass boundaries of theoretically excluded signals lower in mass

VBS

* PD groups is starting to work on GEN-based studies for the interesting signal

VH SM

* Looking into sensitivity studies to get an expected number of events in the signal region with the full dataset. Around 2500 signal events expected by only xsec x br (no selections)

* Also, some technical issues in the bkg MC samples to be cross-checked

Same sign dileptons

* Legacy analysis from SUSY on SS leptons (first SUSY analysis with the full Run2-lumi) exploring the analogous final state is out, still with a way different fake estimation from what is proposed by Ugo

* Ugo planning on reproducing their analysis selection. Still missing the 2018 MC in LNL

HH4b

* Paper resubmitted to journal

EPR

* SiewYan presented results on comparison of SHERPA vs MADGRAPH simulatation of signals for EXO (SHERPA missing the automatic width computation).

* Need to port a library in CMSSW (version 7XY?).

Trigger(less)

* L1 Trigger workshop ongoing in Madrid (Roberto and possibly Nicola there)

* Jacopo and Marco presented the status of the 40MHz readout in a dedicated topical meeting at CERN. Currently we are the only group to have online analysis of the data collected without the need of trigger. Other groups (e.g. the people of the uGMT) asked to help them set up an online analysis system. Also, presented at the DT Upgrade meeting last week. Generally, it went as per expectations, with positive comments from some, and some resistence from others.

Timing Layer

* Urgently needed to order material from CERN. Due to the issue, Paolo asked to place the order using Franco G. account

Tracker

* Meeing last week with Linsday Gray to start working on the vertexing for phase 2, also using Timing layer

* Studies for testing optics for Run2 by playing with the Z beam distribution. Slight decrease of efficiency (~few %) in Z coordinate around 20 cm due to a convolution of pixel acceptance and traking efficiency.
