Check list for people arriving to LHCb-Nikhef

Here are the steps to follow when a newcomer arrives to our group:

• Write to helpdesk to create Nikhef account
• Check their access to Nikhef Indico
• Add them to bfys mailing list (ask Mara)
• Check office / desk / computer needs (ask Mara)
• Open CERN account (ask Niels)
  • Follow the procedure in https://lhcb.web.cern.ch/lhcb_page/collaboration/Useful_Information/Guidelines_For_Team_Leaders.html
  • Master: sign up as "External participant" and "Full membership"
  • PhD: sign up as "User" and "Full membership"

Master candidates, in addition:

• Add project to DataNose
• Assign external examiner

PhD candidates, in addition:

• To register at CERN, ask Pieter to sign filled Home Institute Declaration (Niels)
• Get a laptop (ask Helpdesk suggestions to the model if need)
• Discuss with Niels and Mara the promotor and university affiliation
• Inform OSAF school (email Joan)
• (HoraFinita, project, etc according to University requirements)
