"Physics approval” process, steered by the Physics Coordinator
“Publication approval” process, steered by the Publication Committee

AN        Analysis Note - an essential basis for all the steps in the publication process -
            the presence of up-to-date, detailed and complete documentation in the form of one or more ANs.
ARC     Analysis Review Committee - appointed jointly by the Physics Coordinator and the chairperson
            of the Publication Committee. The ARC is charged with following the analysis during the entire 
            Collaboration-wide approval process.
CWR    Collaboration Wide Review
IRC       Internal Review Committee
PAS     Physics Analysis Summary - CMS paper made public prior to physics publication 
            - see sec 6.1 of the CMS constution.
