SUSY Work future plans now note is out

Near term

  • Answer George's comments
  • Add in fitted background systematic into syst table in note

Longer term

Continuing Tiles Method

  • Redo Tiles method using mc08 MC (what is mc08??)
  • Use splitting of background components in fit (lnln, lnqq, non-top) w/wo penalty functions
  • try using HT2',Meff as well as MT, Meff including systematics and biases in each
  • do detailed comparison with Mt method in terms of bias, syst errors, stat errors
  • get the method into the standard Atlas recognised background estimation techniques (ie. present in meetings etc...)

Work to evaluate real values for background systematics

  • Look at different backgrounds in the MT,Meff plane (split up by lepton) what dominates in which regions (tau, tau?) try to figure out how to measure from data
  • What does lepton Id efficiency tell us? (what level will we know it as function of ...)
  • Look at veto'ing second leptonin a different way (isolation, Pt, ??)
