13 TeV Monojet Analysis DMS Synchronization Exercise for BRU

Synchronization Exercise Details

List of Variables:

  1. Use MiniAOD
  2. Met
    • PF MET Type 1
    • Brownie Points: MVAMet : This is not in the MiniAOD, we can synch with this variable on round 2!
  3. Jets
    • AK4CHS pT > 30 GeV, |$\eta$| < 2.5
      • All jets must pass PU Id CHS (Full Discriminant) and Loose Jet Id
      • CSVvfv2 Btagging discriminant: pfCombinedInclusiveSecondaryVertexV2BJetTags
      • Leading Jet must pass the cleaning :
        • Charged hadron energy fraction > 0.2
        • Neutral hadron energy fraction < 0.7
        • Neutral electromagnetic energy fraction < 0.7
      • Second Jet must pass the cleaning :
        • Neutral hadron energy fraction < 0.7
        • Neutral electromagnetic energy fraction < 0.9
    • AK8CHS for fat jet
      • Synch on the taus
      • Soft Drop mass Beta 1
      • Subjet b-tagging IVF
    • Brownie Points: R: 1.5 Jets - Re clustering and check if the subjets are coming from the CA8 algorithm
  4. VETO Leptons
    • Muons pT > 10 GeV, |$\eta$| < 2.4
      • Loose Id
    • Electrons pT > 10 GeV, |$\eta$| < 2.5
      • PHYS14 Veto Id (VETO ID/Isolation requirements)
    • Taus pT > 18 GeV, |$\eta$| < 2.3 Taus are saved in miniAOD with pt > 18 GeV
      • HPS Decaymode finding
      • 3Hits < 5 GeV
  5. VETO Photons pT > 15 GeV, |$\eta$| < 2.5
    • PHYS14 Loose photon id / iso
  6. Control-Region Leptons
    • Muons pT > 20 GeV, |$\eta$| < 2.4
      • Tight Id
  7. Control-Region Photons pT > 175 GeV, |$\eta$| < 2.5
    • PHYS14 Loose photon id / iso
