Feasibility study of Bu_pi l+ l-

No production data present so small signal production necessary

  • Require comparison with DC06 production data and analysis of B -> K* l+ l-

  • Data must be produced with DC06 compatible software
    • Gauss v26r0 (requires use of Ganga v4.4.15 - bug in v5 and 32bit arch.)
      1. A Generator Phase consisting of the generation of the p-p collisions and the decay of the particles produced
      2. A Simulation Phase consisting in the tracking of the particles in the detector and simulating the physics processes occuring in the experimental setup
    • Boole v12r10
      1. Digitisation. Simulation of the detector response and of the readout electronics, as well as of the L0 trigger hardware. The output is digitized data that mimics the real data coming from the real detector.

Generator level study necessary to understand physics behaviour of the model chosen (assumed same physics model as B -> K* l+ l-)
