E/gamma Reconstruction and Particle-Flow Integration
Mandate of the sub-group
This sub-group is in charge of leading the developments of the electron and photon reconstruction.
On the software side, the sub-group will integrate new developments in the reconstruction and analysis code. In coordination with the
EgIdentification group, it will maintain and develop the code needed to apply the object identification, including the isolation computation. It is also in charge of the (PF2-)PAT-electron software maintenance. The sub-group will provide the reconstruction group with a contact person to coordinate the release integration of the e/gamma software (setting up the list of tags, sending them to the reco-conveners). It is also in charge of the Monte-Carlo validation and of the DQM tools.
Given the importance of the ECAL in the electron/photon reconstruction, this sub-group is in direct connection with the ECAL-DPG through a contact person to ease bi-directional information exchange. The goal is to efficiently implement in the reconstruction the changes needed after a modification in the local reconstruction and to transmit suggestions or requests from the electron/photon reconstruction to the ECAL experts.
Last but not least, this sub-group is in charge of the integration with the particle-flow event reconstruction. This effort is expected to be limited in time (first half of 2011), and its responsibility is shared with the e/gamma conveners.
