FATRAS User Guide
The first production release in which Fatras was fully available is ATLAS offline release 13.0.0.
First steps
A correctly setup up cmt working directory is necessary for running FATRAS in Athena. A good introduction to Athena and cmt can be found in the
ATLAS Workbook. For many applications it will be useful to check out the Fatras example package which is associated with the chosen release (actual production release 13.0.20,
FatrasExample-00-00-06
)
cmt co -r FatrasExample-00-00-06 Simulation/Fatras/FatrasExample
and then build the package, using cmt
cd cmt
source setup.sh
gmake
Running FATRAS
The main steering jobOptions of FATRAS are located in the
share
directory of
FatrasExample
, the executable jobOptions are
jobOptions.Fatras.py
. This file includes several separated modules that are necessary for the FATRAS simulation:
-
FatrasJob
: includes standard common modules needed to run Athena
-
FatrasRun
: concentrates run parameters like event number, detector description version, etc.
-
FatrasGeometry
: the geometry setup for the simulation and reconstruction geometry
-
FatrasExtrapolation
: the setup of the various needed extrapolator instances
-
FatrasTools
: the customised tools needed by Fatras
-
FatrasFitting
: extra fitting tools
-
FatrasAlgs
: the main algorithmic sequence
-
FatrasPrimarySimulation
: single track simulation or generated input simulation
-
FatrasValidation
: dedicated validation algorithms
-
FatrasOutputLevels
: concentration of output level declarations
