Without a background QCD MC i just used data-signal for a pseudo background in this sig efficiency Vs background rejection plot
Rapidity Plots for 2D mass bins, in order
ABCD QCD Estimation Plots.
PtRatio40 > 0.1 is the Isolation cut used.
In order the plots are:
- Region C / Region D for each mass bin (C and D are the non isolated OS and SS regions)
- The additional factor from fitting the ratio between the region C and D isolation plots (when they've been normalised to unity) and extrapolating the adjustment to the C/D ratio
- Region B events, SS isolated events
- The QCD predicted events in each bin
- The QCD predicted events divided by the data (%)

Discontinuity in the QCD events. Evidently comes from the discontinuity in the region B events. Turns out that the problem comes from the signal subtraction in region B and C. Region B shown in following plot
Investigation of this with plots as followed.
- Region A number of events, signal.
- Region B number of events, signal.
- Region C number of events, signal.
- Region B zoom on the discontinuity, signal.
- Region B with just peak 147807 MC, signal.
- Region B with just 129524 MC (120<M<180), signal.

Initial Studies
Change to cuts and full 2011 dataset (fb?)
Now Using SM style cuts periods B2 to J
- 2 or more tracks from at least 1 vertex
- Number of Leptons > 2, Opposite Charge
- EF_mu18 trigger
- MCP ID quality cuts (note no MS hits requirements are used)
- pT > 20 GeV
- eta < 2.4
- 116 < M < 2000 GeV
- PtCone40 ratio max 0.18 (Same as low mass, PtCone20 with ratio max 0.1 suggested by SMWG)
- controlPlots_SMcuts.pdf: controlPlots_SMcuts.pdf
Added additional MS hits cut (still need to add MS-ID pt agreement cut)
Isolation Efficiencies added muons shown all in one plot.
Z prime paper used to add NNLO k-Factor corrections for the signal.
Intial Control plots. No W+Jets or QCD seen. Main backgrounds
DiBoson and ttbar. MC calculated at LO.
