How to copy interactively files from MIT to CERN

• just make sure that the folder to which you will send the files in castor has the right permisions, something like this
  • rfchmod 777 /castor/cern.ch/cms/store/caf/user/silvest/embedding_Jpsi_RDminbias/

• also dont forget to be on the right gate at MIT

1. copy the .globus/* from lxplus into a ./globus directory at mit
2. set you grid certificate at mit
   • >sh
   • > source /osg/grid/setup.sh (or .csh in c-shells)
   • # to initialize the environment
   • >grid-proxy-init
   • # Try
   • > globusrun -a -r ce01.cmsaf.mit.edu
3. copy for example jorge's files into my castor area :
   • > ls /pnfs/cmsaf.mit.edu/t2bat/cms/store/user/cubreto/reco/MinBias_singleJPsimumu_offset10/ | awk '{print "lcg-cp -b --vo cm -D srmv2 -T srmv2 -v srm://se01.cmsaf.mit.edu:8443/srm/managerv2?SFN=/pnfs/cmsaf.mit.edu/t2bat/cms/store/user/cubreto/reco/MinBias_singleJPsimumu_offset10/"$1 " srm://srm-cms.cern.ch:8443/srm/managerv2?SFN=/castor/cern.ch/cms/store/caf/user/silvest/embedding_Jpsi_RDminbias/"$1}' | sh
