Energy asymmetry in beam on collimator events
Runs:
beam 1
61642, 62063
beam 2
62068
Here are used 62063 and 62068.
- Normalized energy in HCAL (w/o HO) as a function of eta:
Total energy in HCAL(w/o HO) is normalized to 1. Beam 2 is mirrored in eta for this comparison.
All the splash events are used.Average over the events is used and the error bars are from the RMS of that distribution.
- Ratio of beam1/beam2 as a function of eta (with mirrored ieta for beam 2):
- ratio zoomed:
- HO beam 1 and beam 2(reverced ieta):
Comment: phi 15 has smaller tile size - smaller signal, related to the flux.
- HO beam1/beam2 ratio: just to check that there is no "mysterious" change in the flux around eta +-1 ...
ToDo list:
- Check top/bottom only ratios - compare with muon measurement
- Check for systematic in the response: like HB phi -13 HPD degradation, etc.
- Check 2D flux seen in HCAL
- Check phi profile
- Difference in abs. energy between b1 and b2
- Amplitude in fC/ADC ?
- HO: ratio between the rings?

- HBHEbeam1:
- HBHEbeam2:
- HB : beam1,beam2:
- Ratios: b2r/b1 and b1/b2r (b2r - beam 2 mirrored in eta)
- Ratio b1/b2r
- beam1 over mirrored beam2: HB and HE:
- beam1 over mirrored beam2: HB:
- mirrored beam2 over beam1: HB and HE:
- mirrored beam2 over beam1: HB:
