CSC Plans for the Torino Workshop (11 - 13 March, 2009)

Agenda

Alignment

  • probably no new results

Magnetic Field

  • obviously need a definitive answer
  • Didar Dobur and MS have made a lot of progress
  • 20-minute presentation planned

Efficiency

  • final version of Stoyan's studies nearly done
  • L1 / trigger? Dayong is giving a talk
  • extrapolate tracker track - do we get the muon in the endcaps? under development

Resolution

  • final version of resolution figures significant progress but not final
  • be sure to include Vladimir & co
  • can we validate the momentum resolution? very difficult in principle in practice we do not have the right MC sample
  • verify multiple scattering and energy loss under development

Track Quality

  • number of hits on a segment, on a track nearly done
  • how well do we build SA muons from the segments? too difficult on this time scale
  • is the chi-squared distribution reasonable? under development
  • are we sensitive to mis-alignment? not possible to test

Timing

  • can Amanda get a preliminary result?

Noise

  • we need a first look at this under development

Bad Channels

  • we need a first look at this not likely to be done
  • time-dependent dead chamber list finished by Andy

Anomalous Events

  • Stoyan's events with missing strips partial conclusions reached
  • Zig's mini-monster events waiting to see
  • xxxxx

Interesting Events

  • showering muons unlikely
  • multiple muons unlikely

Anode Studies

  • Nikolai's presentation on 26-Feb provides nice material - to be culled
