• new B-field does not move ratio of deltas at all!
  • clearly the B-field changes just as Nicola said
  • very puzzling...
• add ntuple to CheckBadChannels to study noise issues.

Post 1st version of paper on Magnetic Field Studies in the CMS Muon Endcap HN

• CMS/MagneticField - see links at bottom
• The input files were reconstructed with the new map. But I am running under 2_2_11 with the default cfi file, which points to the old map. So my extrapolations are indeed based on the old map.
• Nicola sent me instructions some time ago. I can use these, provided I recompile under 2_2_12.
• Printing out a few events, it is clear that |B| is larger in YE1 for the new map than for the old, confirming Nicola's plots of B vs. R
