Machine Features Installation Guide for Sites supporting LHCb

This twiki shall provide information on how to install Machine Features (from the machine/job features initiative for sites supporting LHCb)

Motivation

LHCb asks its supporting sites to install machine features onto their batch systems in a first step by end of 2015. The reason for requesting to only install machine features is that these are currently more important to have than job features. Also machine features are more static information which should not change often over the life time of a worker node, except for shutdown times, which are discussed later. Job features are dynamic in the sense that they need to be created with every job (VO pilot) landing on a machine and therefore more tricky to setup. In case a site would like to install both, machine and job features they are of course very welcome.
