Muon AOD Analysis Recipe with Release 9.0.2

AOD produced from Combined Reconstruction (RecExCommon-00-02-87)

• In your run directory edit the myTopOptions.py
• You should have:
  • doWriteAOD = True
  • doCBNT = False
  • doHist = False
  • doMuonAlgs = True

• In your run directory you should have the PoolFileCatalog.xml file with all your input pool data
• Then run athena myTopOptions.py

Muon Analysis on AOD 9.0.2

• Provided already by the PAT group and available in CVS
  • UserAnalysis: a general Analysis skeleton package
  • AnalysisExamples: some complete analysis algorithms
• Some instructions to run this kind of examples with 9.0.2:
  • cmt co PhysicsAnalysis/AnalysisCommon/AnalysisExamples
  • edit the cmt/requirements file of TestRelease (or RecExCommon)
  • add the line use AnalysisExamples AnalysisExamples-00-08-05 PhysicsAnalysis/AnalysisCommon
  • cmt config
  • source setup.sh
  • cmt broadcast gmake
  • in your run directory of AnalysisExamples you can run for example:
    • athena DoMuon_jobOptions.py
    • athena ZllExample_jobOptions.py
  • JPsi mass AOD reconstruction
    • the above examples have been modified to provide the following files to do the actual analysis for the AOD muon reconstruction of JPsi:
    • JPsiExample_jobOptions.py for the JPsi mass reconstruction
    • DoMuon_jobOptions1.py for the selection of the JPsi AOD muons
  • Zll mass AOD reconstruction
    • DoMuon_jobOptions1.py for the selection of the Zll AOD muon
    • and the ThZllExample_jobOptions.py for the Z mass reconstruction
