Certification & Commissioning Databases

The Certification Database is used to store the information related to detectors outfitting and testing done in various buildings at CERN - before installation in the ATLAS pit. The Commissioning Database is for information related to tests done either at Point 1 (surface) or down in the pit, as well as to removal and installation of hardware during this stage.

TGC

TGCs have a single database for certification, commissioning, configuration and conditions data. The portal to the database is here.

MDT

MDT Certification is in progress at CERN in different buildings (for more details you can check the Logistics Web):

• Building 899 (BB5) houses the Barrel Large and Middle chambers.
• Building 184 houses EC chambers.
• Building 283 houses BIL and BIS chambers.

Both EC and BIL/BIS chambers have implemented their own Certification DBs in Access. All collected data will then be transferred to a common Oracle repository.
