Muon Fake rate studies show negligible impact in 2011 data (bb cross section meeting 29.09.)
0.1fb-1 recorded luminosity at 13TeV (SP news, Tuesday Meeting, 29.09.)
Stripping 23r1 implemented, my included Stripping Families: B23Mu, B24p, BLV, D23Mu, Lc23Mu (5/5), Validation sample available (RD Meeting, 23.09.)
new MC request policy: Check MC samples after 5-10% have been produced, buggy MC samples can be asked to be deleted (RD Meeting, 23.09.)

77th LHCb Week: 14.-18.09. in Bologna

Monday:
- M.P.Altarelli gives physics overview,
  - Milestones: $B^{0}_{(s)} \to \mu\mu , B^{0} \to K^{*0}\mu\mu$
  - V(ub) from $\Lambda_{b} \to p\mu\nu$ ,
  - Anomaly in $R(D^{*}) = \frac{B(B\to D^{*+}\tau\nu)}{B(B\to D^{*+}\mu\nu)}$ and $R(K) = \frac{B(B\to K\mu\mu)}{B(B\to Kee)}$
  - Measurement of Mixing parameter $\phi_{s}$ in $B_{s} \to J\psi \phi$
  - Measurement of CKM parameters (3 angles, 1 phase) $\sin(2\beta)$ and $\gamma$
  - Pentaquarks in $\Lambda_{b} \to J\psi p K^{-}$
- Run Coordinator report (P.Robbe)
  - So far: June+July 6pb-1 @ 50ns and large MB sample , August+September 25pb-1 @ 25ns
  - Planning: Stable running in October+November 200pb-1 @ 25ns
  - Run2: $\mu = 1.1$ (avrg. no. of vis. int. / bunch crossing) at 13TeV gives same multiplicity per event w.r.t. Run1, L0 @ 1MHz, 12.5 kHz (0.6GB/s) output rate
  - Some problems with bunch trains, 20% deadtime -> 5% in 2016-2018
  - Report on Alignment+Calibration and Data Quality Monitoring
  - 2016: Run from 21.03. - 11.12. with three weeks of technical stops

  - Run2: four Streams: Full stream, Turbo stream, Calibration stream, Technical stream
  - Calibration using Hlt1 output data, calibration per 1h run
  - additional HLT farm, HLT software ca. 40% faster

Tuesday:
- Online status (B.Jost)
  - Many new features implemented during LS1 run well
  - Problems: Hlt Farm Node stability, old hardware devices fail (disks)
- Sci-Fi (U.Uwer)
  - Better quality of fibres, attenuation length reliably >= 350 cm
  - number of bumps (>300 µm) still too high, 20-40 per 12.5 km (= 1 spool), optimize bump cutting technique or increase fibre spacing
  - EDR review in July, "No particular show-stopper has been identified", proceed to Production Readiness Review (PRR)
  - Track resolution 80-90 µm
  - improved SiPM, Photon det. eff. ~47%, Xtalk ~4%
  - Test beams show expected performances, readout and cold box progress well
Wednesday:
- Computing (S.Roiser)
  - Linear increase of CPU (20%), Disk (15%) and Tape (15%), as requested
  - 2015: 20PB disk and 40 PB tape

August

~ 7 weeks of 25ns run in 2015 will provide $\approx 100pb^{-1}$ , only 50% of expected intensity (RC news, Tuesday Meeting, 18.08.)
PPG news (PC news, Tuesday Meeting, 18.08.) :
- never change preliminary results after first-time presentation
- blinding is not required in general, discuss with WG convener

LHCb potentially discovers Pentaquark in decay $\Lambda_{b} \to J\psi p K$ in $m(J\psi p) \approx 4450$ MeV (13.07., Inspire)
only 10% of expected data collected from 50ns ramp-up run (PC news, Tuesday Meeting, 21.07.)
Split HLT and TURBO stream for charm physics works fine (PC news, Tuesday Meeting, 21.07.)

BESIII measures $B(\Lambda_{c}\to pK\pi) = 5.77 \pm 0.27_{(stat)}$ (PC news, Tuesday Meeting, 02.06.)
