To set the goals of the project

• We need a software to identify APVs with anomalous noise in the database payload and mask them by including them in a SiStrip bad channel DB tag. Modules with too low noise are expected to be not working and in some cases very noise. This analysis should be run everytime a new noise payload is uploaded in the database and the list of bad APVs used in the Express (and HLT) reconstruction.

The APVs with anomalous noise values can be identified looking at the mean noise value among all the strips, the median, the RMS and compared to the APVs of similar sensors (same thickness and strip lenght). Is it possible that the noise vlaues have to be corrected for the gain to perform this comparision
