Getting Started with xAODs
This uses
xAODAnaHelpers as a base class.
Logon to the Tier3. Make a working directory. Go there.
Need to setup some software called
ROOTCore
.
This is only needed once, you can set this up with:
setupATLAS
rcSetup Base,2.0.23
Download the relevant packages
svn co svn+ssh://svn.cern.ch/reps/atlasinst/Institutes/UChicago/xAODAnaHelpers/trunk xAODAnaHelpers
svn co svn+ssh://svn.cern.ch/reps/atlasinst/Institutes/UChicago/johnda/EventLoopAlgs/XhhExample/trunk XhhExample
Configure
RootCore
rc find_packages
rc compile
And run with:
runXhh
(One annoying thing is that if you want to run again you have to remove the output directory that was created by the first job first, or else you will get a crash.)
Other commands that ive sometimes used:
rc compile_pkg XhhExample
rc clean
rc [tab complete]

Using pyAMI
pyAMI is a client for AMI written in python.
On lxplus:
Setup AMI:
source /afs/cern.ch/atlas/software/tools/pyAMI/setup.sh
Authenicate
voms-proxy-init -voms atlas
Search eg:
ami list datasets mc14_13%
