ORCA migration to castor 2

In the following table:

  • column 1 : libshift version and location of libshift.so at a site
  • column 2 : executable linked at CERN before migration (e.g. standard executables in existing releases)
  • column 3 : executable linked at CERN after migration or new release

  • (1)-(4) could be solved by providing libshift.so.2* (and link) in cms/external. Drawback: would have precedence over any site-specific library - could break if libshift.so.2 shouldn't be used on a site?
