tar -xzf filename.tar.gzto unzip and install. Two steps are involved in the private LHE generation, like any LHE generation with MadGraph 5: 1. Define/customize your proc_card, including the process you would like to generate. Some sample proc_card I have been using can be found here, which are also attached to this twiki page (see attached files)

./bin/mg5_aMC your_proc_card.datTo generate this event, an output directory will be specified in your_proc_card.dat 3. Now go to your output directory, edit the run_card.dat under your_output/Cards/, you can define the number of events you wish to generate, jet matching parameters, various mass cut, pt cut etc. in run_card.dat. 4. Once you set up the appropriate run_card.dat, go back to your_output directory, within this directory, do

The test runs only need to be done one time after your MG is set up.
