Study the RPC contribution to the Barrel Muon Trigger
Aim of work:
- Study the RPC contribution to the Barrel Muon Trigger (Twinmux)
Stratgy:
- To build probe TWinMux segment from RPC hits in layers 1 & 2 in station 1 and station 2 in Barrel region "see presentation by Reham"
- To Build its angular variables (φ ,φ bending).
- To Build the angular variables (φ ,φ bending) from the real TWinMux segments.
- To produce a Twinmux Probe Segment from Track Extrapolation.
- To compare the RPC Twinmux Segment with the probe from Track Extrapolation to measure resolution and efficiency.
Procedure:
- DT trees used to extract the information of the real
TWinMux segments (φ ,φ bending).
- Adding the built probe
TWinMux segment from step 1 in the stratgy to the DTDPG package under new branch "RPC_probe_TwinMux_segments"

- Build the probe
TWinMux segments angular variables (φ ,φ bending).
- A comparison between the real and probe
TWinMux segments' angular variables.
- Exploting the DT trees to the build some distributions about (φ ,φ bending) from DT segments only & DT+RPC segments & RPC only segments.
- Exploting the DT trees to see the occupancy under the effect of switching off 11 RPC chambers due to gas leak.

On going steps:
- Trying to measure the efficiency depending on reconstructed muon object.
- Trying to add muon track extrapolation from tracker track using instructions from John

1- Occupancy plots before and after Run 303832 for RPC only segments, DT only segments and RPC+DT segments
- Using runs 302635, 302634, 301998, 301627, 301161 for occupancy plots before run 303832.
- Using runs 303838, 304508, 304671, 304737, 304738 for occupancy plots after run 303832.
