Scope of the documentation

This is the documentation for a global overview of the work that has been put into the receivers.

Receivers as Installated

There are 8 receiver crates and two receiver control crates:
  • 4 crates for each side: EMB (numbered as crate 0), EMEC (numbered as crate 1), HECFCAL (numbered as crate 2) and Tile (numbered as crate 3).
  • One receiver control crate for each side which include:
    • A single board computer (SBC) (sbc-lar-mon-l1-01 for the A-side and sbc-lar-mon-l1-02 for the C-side)
    • Two 12bit, 8 channel ADCs, where the addresses are:
    • One VME V976B logic module, needed to perform NIM-to-TTL level adapter.
    • Each SBC controls four receiver crates through USB controller board.

Monitoring System

Each receiver crate has 2 monitoring boards and 16 receiver boards. For now, the monitoring boards for EMB, EMEC, HECFCAL crates are cabled up. The 4th channel of the first monitoring baord of each receiver crate is dedicated to the input of the spectrum analyzer. Since
