TGC Online SW

Configuration SW

  • download the software from SVN (not CVS) --> 1st attempt
    • SVNROOT=svn+ssh://svn.cern.ch/reps/muondaq
    • unset CVSROOT
    • svn co $SVNROOT/package_name/trunk package_name
    • svn repository
  • update them with the latest files (Okumura's correction and TgcTtcvi correction)
    • recompile in local environment --> OK
    • upload to SVN --> not yet (done on 2nd June)
    • recompile in standalone/global environment --> not yet
  • fixed bug on TgcTtcvi command used for PsReset
    • To send PsReset (0x80) from TTCvi as asynchronous command (8bits),
a command to return the signal to LOW (0x0) is required to send after sending user defined command(*).
    • In the MaulalTtc command, this procedure was implemented. But I missed it...
As the result, PsReset signal was kept as HIGH, and the VME API could not take any JRC route to configure PP/SLB ASICs.
    • Width of the pulse is adjusted to more than 10usec using usleep(). (same way implemented in ManualTtc)

  • (*) User defined command
    • 7th and 8th bits of asynchronous short command are assigned for user command.
      In case of TGC,

  • Nothing to be done.

Physics

  • Daily discussion: Measurement of W-boson polarization from top quark decay in ATLAS (by Hasegawa)
  • My interests
    • What is the polarization vector?
    • What is the renormalization?
  • Today's HEP arxiv
