The TT2 Beam Transfer Line between the Proton Synchrotron and the Super Proton Synchrotron

The Proton Synchrotron (PS) is the first Accelerator that operated at CERN (1959). The evolution of particle physics towards higher energies required the construction of a second larger Accelerator the Super-Proton-Synchrotron (SPS). TT2 is the code name of a transfer line used to transfer beams from PS to SPS. A modernisation programme has been put in place for the TT2 line and these pages are here to facilitate the communication between partners at CERN.
