CMS Tracker DAQ Overview

Firmware and software is available at https://gitlab.cern.ch/cmsinnertracker/Ph2_ACF for RD53A. For the CROC you will need to use this version and in both cases the current list of firmware releases can be found here.

Hardware parts required:

  • FC7 card
  • Imperial College uTCA card
  • nano crate
  • FMC card - KSU or CERN
  • micro SD card
  • Power supply for FC7
  • Power supply for powering the chip (LV ~10 A Keysight) and dual dig/analog cable
  • Power supply for biasing the sensor (~ -500 V ) Keithley and MCX cable for HV connection
  • Signal adapter board
  • display port to mini display port cable for data communication between module and FMC
  • ethernet cable for connecting FC7 to computer
  • SFP connector
  • Computer to run the Ph2_ACF code (we have tested everything on Centos7 so far at UIC)
