To Run on the core cluster: Make sure you have access to ui.core.wits.ac.za:
- Scott Hazelhurst has hopefully created an account for you which will allow you to access cream-ce.core.wits.ac.za, and ui.core.wits.ac.za
- on your local machine open a terminal and run 'ssh-keygen -t dsa' (an empty passphrase is suggested)
- add the contents of ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub to ~/.ssh/authorized_keys on cream-ce.core.wits.ac.za
- logging in from your local machine should now not require a password, and you will be able to login to ui.core.wits.ac.za
- Log in to ui.core.wits.ac.za
-
-
add the following to ~/.bashrc
alias asetup='source $VO_ATLAS_SW_DIR/software/<version>/setup.sh'
source $VO_ATLAS_SW_DIR/ddm/latest/setup.sh
export LC_ALL=C
- where <version> (which must be 16.0.0 or later) is the ATLAS release to be set up (available from 'ls $VO_ATLAS_SW_DIR/software/')
- a list of everything installed at WITS is available from this page: https://atlas-install.roma1.infn.it/atlas_install/list.php?sitename=ZA-WITS-CORE
- asetup <version> (where version is any installed version, even before 16.0.0) will set up that version for you
- For more details and configuration options refer to:
- The ATLAS computing tutorial
- The AtlasSetup page
- you would need to source $VO_ATLAS_SW_DIR/local/setup.sh (if available) after you set up the release, to use Frontier and the conditions
- In order to use DQ2Utils:
- export DQ2_LOCAL_SITE_ID=ROAMING (for bash)
- source /opt/exp_soft/atlas/ddm/latest/setup.sh
- remember to do a 'voms-proxy-init --voms atlas'
- I suggest just adding the following to your .bashrc / .tcshrc
- export DQ2_LOCAL_SITE_ID=ROAMING (for bash)
- source /opt/exp_soft/atlas/ddm/latest/setup.sh
