This page discusses the determination of systematic error associated with the
ZYAM determination.
Procedure to determine ZYAM
- symmetrize deltaPhi distribution around deltaPhi~0
- fit second degree polynomial (pol2) around a dip corresponding to deltaPhi~pi/2
- vary the fitting range
- pions:
- ZYAM(1): deltaPhi = (0.5;2.8)
- ZYAM(2): deltaPhi = (0.5;2.5)
- protons:
- ZYAM(1): deltaPhi = (0.2;3.14)
- ZYAM(2): deltaPhi = (0.7;3.14)
- Note on the ZYAM procedure
- try fitting a triple Gaussian instead of pol2
- look at large deltaEta to determine the ZYAM
ZYAM for distribution of associated pions and protons corrected by mixed events
- pT_{assoc} = (1.5;2.0):
- pT_{assoc} = (2.0; 2.5):
- pT_{assoc} = (2.5; 3.0):
- pT_{assoc} = (3.0; 3.5):
- pT_{assoc} = (3.5; 4.0):
Comparison of yield obtained by using ZYAM(1) and ZYAM(2)

- comparison of zyam from fits in 2 fitting ranges, Proton:
Histogram division
- Pion: systematic error: 5%
- Proton: systematic error: 10%
