ATLAS SCT Testbeam

3 to 13 September beamtest at CERN H8

News

Mon 15 Sep: First CTPD triggered events in an ATLAS detector, the SCT testbeam setup.

Fri 12 Sep: Successful integration of the SCT testbeam into the ATLAS Common DAQ.

Schedule

Shifts

Shifts for the main user run Wednesday to Monday 3-9/9:
Wed 16-24 Debugging
Thu 00-08 Pixels
Thu 08-16 Gareth & Olda
Thu 16-24 Mariane
Fri 00-08 Peter K & Michael S
Fri 08-16 Ana & Sophie
Fri 16-24 Thomas & Vladimir
Sat 00-08 Jose & Sergio
Sat 08-16 Olda & Gaby
Sat 16-24 Ana
Sun 00-08 Thomas
Sun 08-16 Sergio & Jose
Sun 16-24 Petr & Vladimir
Mon 00-08 Gaby & Olda
Mon 08-10 Michael & Vladimir

During the long MD Monday 10:00 to Tuesday 10:00 we will do in-situ calibration and continue preparations for the common DAQ run.

Shifts are not planned initially for the Common Run, Tueday 9/9 to Saturday 13/9, as I expect we will mostly be developing and debugging. However, should we get going, there may be some data-taking through the night at the end of the week. Interested people will be very welcome.

Modules

Please send details of modules to be expected.

ID Module Type Irradiated ? Comment
0 20220170200010 Barrel No Reference module; neg. offset S03

Program

Bias scans: unirradiated/irradiated modules, in order: 150/350, 200/400, 250/450, 300/500, 100/300 V.

At each bias voltage setting, a full threshold scan: 0.7,0.8,0.9,1.0,1.1,1.2,1.5,2.0,2.5,3.0,3.5,4.0,4.5,5.0,5.5,6.0 fC.

Take double statistics around the nominal operating threshold, 0.9,1.0.1.1 fC.

Program: bias scans at two positions covering as many chips as possible:
