Working Group |
Aims |
|
The work of the group concentrates on:
- Extraction : optimising the
statistical precision of the W Mass measurement by improving the
extraction techniques, including kinematic fitting and method
used to extract the W Mass from the reconstructed .
- Systematics : improving the
understanding of the systematics uncertainties in the W mass
measurement. Concentrating on systematics which are
correlated between the four experiments, e.g. hadronisation.
- Common Tools :
improve the understanding of the correlations between the
four experiments using tools such as the common event files and
`Crete Ntuples'.
- Selection/Four-fermion :
WW, single-W and 4f cross section measurements and
related issues in the W mass analysis.
|
TGC |
The TGC working group is organised in three sub-groups which
concentrate on:
- WW channels :
Extraction methods and systematic errors in the determination of
charged triple gauge boson couplings. Study of model-independent
descriptions of W-pair production.
- Other channels :
Determination of charged triple gauge boson couplings in single-W and
single-photon production. Determination of neutral triple gauge boson
couplings in Zgamma and ZZ production.
Determination of quartic gauge boson couplings.
- Tools and theory :
Progress in MC generators and theoretical descriptions relevant for
the study of gauge boson couplings at LEP.
|
FSI |
The work of the group concentrates on:
- Search : combining the statistics of
the 4 LEP experiments in oder to search for BE correlation between two W's and CR.
- Systematic:improving the
understanding of the systematics uncertainties in the W mass
measurement due FSI effects.
