Getting Help on Offline Software :
- The Atlas software list has been set up to avoid crowding the developer's list, or the general software list with queries that only concern a limited group of people.
- Please use this list rather than the developers list for general pleas for help, or suspected problems in the infrastructure or core software areas. (We would expect most threads to begin with messages of the form "How do I do...?" or "I think there's a problem in...". Such postings will be distributed to most of the core developers so there's a high probability of a rapid response.
- The list name is atlas-sw-help@cern.ch or atlas-sw-help@atlas-lb.cern.ch (either will work).
- Send mail to the list
Subscribing to the list: Anyone can post to this list, so you do not need to subscribe to the list to use it. But if you wish to subscribe you may. Use the usual CERN SIMBA interface.
- Details (including how to subscribe) (Password protected)
- Help with SIMBA, the mailbox server.
Archives of the list: The list is archived at CERN (You need your CERN mailer password), and also at BNL.
