0.1 The Installation scripts directory

This directory contains a set of scripts that are usefull to perform a safe installation. Here is a list of the different script :
  • check-site.sh : First job to run before an installation at one site. A check-site job is aimed to retrieve the site configuration parameters usefull for the installation. Here is an illustration of the check-site output logfile file at Manchester UKI-NORTHGRID-MAN-HEP.
  • test-release.sh : This is the script to run a kit validation test of an installed released in orser to validate the installation.
  • cleanup.sh : Clean the site from all release with the same major release number. Do not remove the tag of the releases. To be use with caution only when ones really want to get rid off a conflictual installation or to remove obsolete major number releases like 9.0.X or 10.0.X. Use preferably the uninstall job to remove a specific release (see later).

  • publish-tag.sh: To publish the tagg of a successfull installation if the tag was not published via the validation job (see more explanation later).
  • remove-tag.sh : Remove the tag from releases that have been cleanup up. (Not needed when ran an uninstall job).
  • The GBB tools: see details in Grid Big Brother
