Exercise 4

In this exercise I should plot the distributions of the pT of the particle with maximal pT in each event for -8.0< η <8.0 and no restrictions on pT.

The setup of Rivet is similar to ExerciseThree, the only difference is the .cc file that is used and the name of the analysis in rivet_cfg.py.

In general the solution is very similar to the solution of ExerciseThree. For ExerciseFour I made a .cc file for the GeneratorInterface/RivetInterface/src/ directory. I do not need an .aida file since the bin sizes are determined in the .cc file. The rivet_cfg.py file was modified to run 100000 events, and to exclude single diffractive events by setting MSUB(92) = 0 and MSUB(93) = 0.

The results are in ex4.root, and using the root macro ex4_plot.C I made the plots shown in the short summary of the results.
