Exercise 4
In this exercise I should plot the distributions of the p
T of the particle with maximal p
T in each event for -8.0< η <8.0 and no restrictions on p
T.
The setup of Rivet is similar to
ExerciseThree, the only difference is the .cc file that is used and the name of the analysis in rivet_cfg.py.
In general the solution is very similar to the solution of
ExerciseThree. For
ExerciseFour I made a
.cc file for the GeneratorInterface/RivetInterface/src/ directory. I do not need an .aida file since the bin sizes are determined in the .cc file. The
rivet_cfg.py file was modified to run 100000 events, and to exclude single diffractive events by setting MSUB(92) = 0 and MSUB(93) = 0.
The results are in
ex4.root, and using the root macro
ex4_plot.C I made the plots shown in the
short summary of the results.
